Desert Salon: Dangers of a Fox

  • Lancaster Library (map)
DS Banner.png

For November, Saloners still have an eye on the trickster, stealer of chickens, the manipulator: the fox. Don’t be fooled, foxes are humans just like the rest of us but can be dangerous nonetheless. We’ll dive deeper into how to spot one, how not to become one, and perhaps even how to free people from their illusion.

There are no suggested readings for November. All are welcome to bring any pieces on foxes and their misdeeds. Feel free to catch up on last month’s pieces on foxes: Ola Ojewumi and Malcolm X (for full audio of the same speech, head here). Contact us here at The Turn Left with any questions or suggestions.

See you Salon Sunday, November 17th.

The Desert Salon is not a class: it rejects the roles of teacher and student. The Desert Salon is radical: it rejects the divisions that the world makes between us based on skin, ableism, sex, gender, or class. Past meetings have discussed things as massive as the the Imperialist White-Supremacist Capitalist Heteropatriarchy and as local as water price changes. Being a radical is not a requirement, but you just might be inspired.
